That window is counted from the day your order is dispatched, and it is the same to the United States and Canada. Shipping is free on every order — there is no paid option to choose and nothing extra to pay at checkout.
You get a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves. Tracking often goes quiet for a few days mid-transit and then jumps forward several stages at once — that is normal. If it is silent for more than a week, email info@yardedgepro.com with your order number and we will chase the carrier ourselves.
We ship to the United States and Canada only, and our carriers need a street address, so we cannot deliver to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Orders going to Canada may attract import duties collected by the carrier on delivery.
Returns & 12-month warranty
Returns & 12-month warranty
30 days to change your mind. From the day it arrives, for any reason at all — including simply not getting on with it. No restocking fee. The tool needs to come back unused with its accessories and packaging.
12-month warranty. Against defects in the tool or its batteries. That covers a motor, a switch or a battery that stops working in normal use. It does not cover consumables or damage from an accident.
Damaged, faulty or missing parts? Email info@yardedgepro.com with your order number and a photo. That is our mistake to fix, at our cost.
Please contact us before posting anything back, so we can send you the return address.

There is a moment — usually in winter, usually when you have been out for an hour — when you open your own front door and smell your own house.
You had stopped noticing. The cold air reset something, and for about four seconds you smell the place the way a visitor smells it. Then your nose adjusts again and it is gone, and you carry the shopping through to the kitchen and think: I need to do something about that.
This is not about being house-proud, and it is certainly not about loving your cat any less. It is arithmetic. A litter box needs attention twice a day, every day, with no weekends and no sick leave, and the day you are too tired is the day it shows.
The part that actually costs you
The smell is the symptom people notice. It is not the expensive problem.
The expensive problem is that cats are fastidious about where they go, and a box that is past its best is a box a cat will start looking for alternatives to. Behind the sofa. On the bath mat. On the pile of laundry that was clean this morning. By the time it happens you are no longer dealing with a chore, you are dealing with carpet, replacement, a vet visit to rule out the medical causes, and — the part nobody says out loud — a slow souring of how you feel about an animal you love.
Keeping a box genuinely clean, every single day, is the cheapest insurance against all of that. The trouble is that doing it by hand depends entirely on you never having a bad week.
Let us answer this one first
“What if it turns while my cat is inside?”
That is the fear, and it is the right fear. It is the reason most people read about these for a year before buying one. So here is exactly what stops it, rather than a promise that it is safe.
4
Pairs of infrared sensors
Beams across the opening. Break any one of them and the drum stops where it is — not at the end of its cycle, immediately.
3
Hall effect sensors
These track exactly where the drum is at all times, so it cannot stall mid-rotation or half-turn and leave a gap.
0
Doors
It is open-topped. There is no flap and no tunnel, so nothing can close behind your cat, because nothing closes at all.
How it actually works
The drum rotates after your cat has finished. Clean litter falls back through a sieve and drops into the basin to be used again; the clumps, which cannot pass through, roll forward into a sealed drawer underneath. That is the whole mechanism. There is no chemical, no cartridge and nothing you have to subscribe to.
One consequence of that design is worth saying plainly, because it is the thing owners notice in month two: you buy less litter than you used to. Hand-scooping throws away clean granules with every clump. A sieve does not.
Read this before you buy
Your litter decides whether this works
This is the single biggest reason machines like this get returned, and it has nothing to do with the machine being faulty. If you use the wrong litter it cannot work, because the whole thing depends on clumps that hold together and granules that fall through.
Works with
- Bentonite clumping litter
- Mineral clumping litter
Will not work with
- Tofu litter
- Crystal and silica litter
Tofu and crystal do not clump the same way — they either pass straight through the sieve or jam it. If that is what your cat is used to and you do not want to change it, please keep the tray you have. We would rather you spent nothing here than spent this much on something that will frustrate you.
What the chore becomes
Not nothing. Something much smaller. Instead of scooping twice a day, you pull out a sealed ten-litre drawer, lift the bag, drop a new one in and push it shut. How often depends on how many cats are using it.
| One cat | Every 10 days |
| Two cats | Every 7 days |
| Three cats | Every 5 days |
| Four cats | Every 3 days |
A ten-litre drawer lasts a week and a half for one cat because only the clumps reach it. You will still top the litter up and give the unit a proper clean from time to time.
Measure the spot before you order
This is a machine, not a tray, and the most common disappointment is somebody buying it for a space it was never going to fit.
21.25″
Wide
Give it a little more than this so the drawer can come out at the front.
20.27″
Deep
About 2.6 square feet of floor in total — roughly a kitchen bin's footprint.
3–22 lb
Cat weight
Entry is 16.33 by 15.35 inches, so a large cat can turn around without touching the sides.
It is mains powered. There is no battery and no cordless version, so it has to live within reach of a socket — and ideally the socket your old tray was already near.
Give a nervous cat a fortnight
The cats that refuse these are almost always the ones that were rushed. Do it this way instead and most come round without any drama.
Put it exactly where the old box stood. Leave it switched off, fill it with the litter your cat already uses, and let them treat it as an ordinary tray for the first week or so. Keep the old box alongside. Only once they are using the new one without hesitating do you turn it on.
Taking the old box away on day one is how people end up with a problem on the bath mat.
Honestly, who should not buy this
Buy it if
- You have one to four cats and the scooping has become relentless
- You already use bentonite or mineral clumping litter
- You have the floor space and a socket near it
- Your cats are between 3 and 22 lb
Think twice if
- You use tofu or crystal litter and do not want to switch
- Your cat is elderly, anxious, or has never coped well with change
- There is no socket anywhere near where the tray lives
- You have a kitten under 3 lb — too light for the sensors to be relied on
Questions we get asked
Does self-cleaning mean I never touch it?
No, and anyone telling you otherwise is overselling. It takes the twice-daily scooping off you entirely. You still empty the drawer, top up the litter and clean the unit out properly every so often. The honest claim is that it turns a daily job into a weekly one.
My cat refuses covered boxes. Is this the same thing?
No — and that is the main reason to choose this one over most automatic boxes, which are tunnels. Cats want a clear line of sight while they are in a vulnerable position, and in a house with more than one animal that is not fussiness, it is how they avoid being cornered. An open top looks far closer to the tray they already use.
How many cats will it really take?
Up to four comfortably, on the emptying schedule above. The standard veterinary guidance still stands though — one box per cat plus one is the ideal. An automatic box does not repeal that rule, it just takes the scooping out of all of them.
Is it loud?
It is a motor turning a drum, so it makes a sound. It is closer to a fridge cycling on than to a vacuum, and it runs for well under a minute. If it is going in a bedroom, bear in mind that it will run at three in the morning, because that is when cats do things.
What if my cat simply will not use it?
Send it back inside 30 days for a full refund. No restocking fee and no argument. Cats are cats, and we would much rather take it back than have you fighting with yours over it.
My cat has stopped using the litter box recently. Will this fix it?
Possibly not, and please do not buy it hoping it will. A cat that suddenly stops using a box it was happy with can be telling you about a urinary or kidney problem, and that is a vet visit, not a shopping decision. Rule that out first. If the box simply got dirty faster than you could keep up with, then yes, this is the fix.
About the price
This is the most expensive thing we sell, and we are not going to pretend it is an impulse buy. So here is the way to think about it rather than a sales line.
You are buying back roughly ten minutes a day — call it sixty hours a year — and you are buying a box that stays clean on the days you are exhausted, which are exactly the days a hand-scooped box does not. For most people the second part is worth more than the first.
