Do I need an electrician?
No. There is no household wiring involved at all. The light mounts on two screws and the panel connects to it on a 5 m lead — that is the whole installation.
The wall I want to light is in shade. Is that a problem?
That is what the 5 m lead is for. Mount the light on the shaded wall and put the panel somewhere that actually catches sun — a roof edge, a fence top, the sunny side of the same wall.
Can it stay outside all winter?
Yes. The IP67 rating means the housing is sealed against dust and water, so rain and snow are not a reason to bring it in. Shorter, grayer days will mean shorter runs after dark.
